YSR Kapari Bandhu is another welfare initiative by the Government of Andhra Pradesh and the motive of this scheme is present in its name only. Kapari in Telugu means Shepherd and as the name says the YSR Kapari Bandhu Scheme is initiated for the Shepherd community in the state. Under this welfare scheme, Financial aid is provided to the Gollu & Kuruma community’s shepherds. so that they can acquire sheep and goats. The objective of the scheme is to empower the Gollu & Kuruma shepherd communities economically by providing them financial aid to acquire 20 sheep and 1 goat. This scheme is fairly new as it was announced in the month of March 2021 only and it aims to benefit around 50,000 people of the state who comes under the beneficiary category. NCDC ( National Cooperative Development Corporation ) is in the support of the scheme and agreed to release a sum of Rs. 200 crores for the implementation of the YSR Kapari Bandhu Scheme. Andhra Pradesh YSR Kapari Bandhu Scheme Application
As of now only the overview of the scheme is given by the government officials like who will be the beneficiaries of the YSR Kapari Bandhu Scheme and how it will help the public of Andhra Pradesh. NCDC will not only make sure about the implementation of the scheme in the state but they will also offer a 30% subsidy or a loan amount of 1.5 lakhs. The implementation of this scheme in the state will empower the shepherd community not just financially but socially as well and the time of the scheme announcement is crucial as well because the pandemic situation our nation is facing had a hard hit on our economy irrespective of the sector. These type of welfare schemes is the need of the hour and according to the past records of the AP government, they are pretty quick in terms of implementing the schemes which they announce. So we can expect the implementation process will start very soon in the state.
As the scheme was announced in the month of March 2021 only, we couldn’t find any official application guidelines on any of the government portals or any news portal. Eligibility for YSR Kapari Bandhu Scheme
As there are no official guidelines on application or eligibility is published by the Govt. officials or the concerned department, we have only mentioned the basic eligibility criteria according to the other schemes launched by Mr. Reddy. - Only Residents of Andhra Pradesh can become eligibile beneficiary of this scheme.
- As the scheme is for shepherd community of Gollu & Kuruma, only those who comes under these categories can avail the benefits of this scheme.
- The scheme is an initiative to help those who are economically weak, so only those who comes under the BPL category can become eligibile beneficiary of the YSR Kapari Bandhu scheme.
